Update with deadlines for 2024 General Election
Follow the 3 steps to Request a Ballot, Complete a Ballot, and Return a Ballot found on the NC Board of Elections website here. Remember that you must include a photocopy of your photo ID when returning your ballot, and only qualified persons (the voter or voter's near relative or legal guardian) may request and return the absentee ballot.
The deadline to request a ballot is 5pm on the Tuesday before Primary Election Day (February 27 for the March 5 Primary). It's best to request the ballot well in advance due to potential delays in mail delivery.
Request forms may be completed online or printed and returned to the FC Board of Elections, using the forms below.
